History of Dodge Challenger Hellcat

The story begins .. In 2011, CEO Sergio Marchionne and the top 20 FCA Group executives gathered in a product forum. One emerging idea is to produce 600HP ++ engine to match the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
The idea was approved in a short time, the performance target went up to 675HP as the forum heard that Ford had set up a 600HP engine. The project is done quietly, even many members of the team of engineers do not know it.

You could say Dodge Challenger Hellcat is one of the "black projects" in CHRYSLER's body.

And it turns out, the final specification shows the number 707HP, making this machine as the strongest ever in the world muscle car. When Dodge announced it in 2014, many people were stunned. And there are many assumptions that this machine is only for lighthouse projects and will not be mass produced.

The wrong assumption. Because it turns out this machine is present in the body Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Make it the most powerful Muscle Car on earth. And the public response was very positive, which made it sell up to 15000 units until August 2016.
The name Hellcat itself can be associated with the greatest plane in World War 2, Grumman F6F Hellcat. Who was responsible for the destruction of 5,163 enemy aircraft.
